Since
2009 I have been actively involved in working to find an end to breast
cancer. I created the Pink Heart shirt to help my friend DJ fund raise
for her 2009 and 2010 walks. In 2011, 2012, and 2013 I volunteered as a
crew member. I planned on volunteering as a crew member in 2014 with
the same Pit Stop. As fate would have it, 11 minutes after registration
for 2014 crew opened Pit Stop 3 was full and I had a tough decision;
crew somewhere else or walk. After talking to the 3-Day Coach, I
registered as crew on another volunteer team with the option to switch
to walker at any time.
Well,
after a lot of though - I am walking in 2014 in memory of Cheryl Carter
and in honor of my 50th birthday. $10 from each Pink Hear shirt will go
towards my fundraising goal. I can't do this without your help. I know
I can get ready to walk 60 miles on my own, but I can't write a check
for $2,300. You donation of any amount will help me reach my goal of $2,300.
